A Place in the Sun’s Ben Hillman jumps out of his skin as property blasted by storm mid-tour
A PLACE in the Sun host Ben Hillman had an unexpected fright during his latest round of house tours on the property programme.
The Channel 4 presenter was showing couple Lian and Dave around a number of proprieties in the Spanish region of the Almeria Province.

The pair had a maximum budget of £100,000 and were hoping to find a three bedroom property where they could live with teenage son Dominic.
Lian and Dave were also keen to have access to a pool and also two bathrooms in their dream sun-soaked home.
Enthusiastic Ben welcomed the loved-up couple to the first home that had every single feature they had asked for and was neatly in budget at just under £97,000.
However, the house search got off to a rather rocky start thanks to a mysterious occurrence that seriously spooked show host Ben.
Ben declared: “I think there was a flash of lightning then when we come in.”
The sunny weather appeared to have quickly turned stormy by the time the trio entered the viewing.
A loud crash could then be heard as Ben jumped and yelped at the thunder on the outside.
The TV presenter then said: “Oooo! We just escaped that one didn’t we. And we remained dry, just in the nick of time.”
It appeared that the stormy weather had set the mood for the first house as despite it offering a lot of promise it did not appear to be what the house hunters were looking for as they ruled the house out of the running, mainly due to the lack of space in each of the rooms.
