Maya Jama poses with mystery man as she heads out for dinner ahead of Love Island debut

MAYA Jama looks like she has well and truly settled into life in South Africa as she headed out for dinner with pals last night.

The 28-year-old, who is set to make her Love Island debut, shared a snap as she cuddled up to a mystery man in a stunning setting for a fancy looking meal.

In the snap, Maya is seen grinning as she posed with the man, who was dressed in a Burberry shirt.

Maya later reassured her fans she doesn’t normally eat such delicate looking food and prefers “hearty dishes”, but the group she was with wanted to dine there.

The presenter recently opened up about her own dating status ahead of hosting the show,  as she declared that she is “newly-single”.

The star only recently split from her Australian basketball player fiancé Ben Simmons in September 2022.

She told The Times: “I’m really, really single right now. Newly single. It’s only been a month, but it’s nice.”

When asked whether she prefers being single or in a relationship, she previously told Cosmopolitan: “I’m a long relationship girl, like I’ve been in a lot of long relationships.”

“But now I’m single so they are both alright,”

“I think single in a pandemic is a bit of a different experience because then you are single, single.”

She also addressed speculation that she reunited with rapper Stormzy after they were spotted together at the GQ Men of The Year Awards in 2022.

Maya told The Times: ”We were so young when we met, just beginning our careers.

“I was starting at MTV. He’d not even released a single at that point. We were just little babies.”
