LOVE Island has revealed a huge shake up with a bombshell twist – and you’re in control.

For the first time ever viewers will get to vote for the first bombshell to enter the villa.

Voting opened today and is free via the Love Island App.

The bombshell with the highest number of votes will be chosen to enter the villa, with the vote closing at 9pm on Friday January 13.

Love Island announced the new process on Twitter and said: “Who will be the first Bombshell?

“YOU decide Head to the app now to vote to send Ellie or Tom into the villa!

Law firm administrator Ellie Spence, 25, and semi-pro footballer Tom Clare, 23, are the first pair up for the vote – and they’re desperate to join the main line-up in the South Africa villa.

Tom said: “I’m a good laugh, a good vibe. I’m not snakey, I don’t like that kind of stuff. If I’ve got an issue with someone I’ll speak to them.

“Since my ex-girlfriend, no-one’s really come to me and I’ve thought, ‘Wow’.

“Until I have that, I’m not really going to settle for less. Not in a bad way, but the next person I get with, I want to marry.”

And Ellie pitched in her pre-villa interview: “I’m fun, caring, smart and know how to have a good time.

“I feel like I’m the whole package; I’m flirty, forward and very confident.”

ITV have already revealed ten stars who will be this year’s originals in only the second ever winter edition of the show.

The new islanders are set to enter the Love Island villa in South Africa on January 16 as new host Maya Jama takes over from Laura Whitmore, who announced she was stepping down in August.

The new series is the show’s first winter series since before the coronavirus pandemic.

New additions also include Made In Chelsea star Sam Thompson and Indiyah Polack, who was a finalist on the show last year, who are joining as regular panellists on Love Island’s Aftersun programme.

Love Island starts on Monday 16th January at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
