US lottery Mega Millions jackpot rises to $1.1 billion

WASHINGTON D.C.: As, again, no ticket holder has selected all six numbers and won the estimated $940 million jackpot, the prize money for the Mega Millions draw rose to an estimated $1.1 billion, the third-largest in US history, ahead of the next drawing this week.

After two months, there have now been 24 drawings without a jackpot winner, which is mainly due to the game's long odds of 1 in 302.6 million.
