China's Wang Xinyu knocked out of Hobart International

SYDNEY, Jan. 12 (Xinhua) -- China's Wang Xinyu was knocked out of the WTA Hobart International tournament on Thursday when she lost 6-3, 6-3 to world No. 84 Lauren Davis of the United States in the quarterfinals.

After a five-day warm-up at the Domain Tennis Center, the 21-year-old Chinese will next move to Melbourne Park to take on world No. 227 Storm Hunter in the opening round of the Australian Open.
