Miley Cyrus is singing about a breakup on her soon-to-be-released single “Flowers,” and fans are convinced that the song is about Liam Hemsworth.

The 30-year-old Plastic Hearts singer dated and was engaged to her The Last Song co-star after they met on the set of the Nicholas Sparks movie.

However, they split up around the launch of Miley‘s Bangerz era. The couple reunited a few years later and tied the knot in 2018. Less than a year later, Liam filed for a divorce. The divorce was finalized in 2020.

The couple has since gone their separate ways, and Miley has seemingly addressed their breakup in other songs such as “Slide Away.” Fans believe that she is doing so again on “Flowers,” which serves as the introduction to her new album Endless Summer Vacation.
