Arsenal transfer news LIVE: Arteta ‘confirms’ Mudryk interest, Gabriel Jesus injury latest, Spurs build-up
ARSENAL have made a fresh bid for Mykhailo Mudryk worth £62million plus add-ons, it’s been reported and now Mikel Arteta has seemed to confirm their interest.
Direct talks with Shakhtar Donetsk have continued this week, according to Fabrizio Romano, who says the two sides are closing in on a deal.
Arteta was asked about the deal, and seemed to confirm some interest as he said:
“We cannot talk about any other players.
“There is some interest in things we’d like to do to improve the team, because we are a bit short in certain areas with the injuries we’ve [picked up].
“We are trying as a club – we are determined to try to improve the team in every window and that’s what we’re trying to do.”
Elsewhere, the head coach also provided an update on Gabriel Jesus’ injury return and looked to their clash against Spurs this weekend.
