Morgan Freeman Joins Zoe Saldana & Nicole Kidman in Upcoming Paramount+ Series 'Lioness'
Morgan Freeman remains booked and busy!
The 85-year-old actor signed on to join Zoe Saldana and Nicole Kidman in the new Paramount+ series Lioness, which was first announced in early 2022 when Zoe joined the project.
The upcoming drama pulls inspiration from a real-life CIA program, and Morgan will take on the role of Edwin Mullins, the United States Secretary of State, according to Deadline.
Both Zoe and Nicole will be executive producing and starring in the series. It was announced that Nicole would also star in the show earlier this month. She has been attached to the show since it was announced in the producer role.
Lioness is coming from Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan. It also stars Laysla De Oliveira and Dave Annable.
Here’s a synopsis: The series follows “Cruz Manuelos (De Oliveira), a rough-around-the-edges but passionate young Marine recruited to join the CIA’s Lioness Engagement Team to help bring down a terrorist organization from within.”
