Baz Luhrmann Commemorates Lisa Marie Presley - 'We Will Miss Your Warmth'
Elvis director Baz Lurhmann paid tribute to Lisa Marie Presley after her devastating death.
The iconic singer-songwriter who was Elvis Presley‘s only daughter passed away at the age of 54 on Thursday (January 12) after going into cardiac arrest.
Baz took to social media to remember his lost friend.
“Over the last year, the entire Elvis movie family and I have felt the privilege of Lisa Marie’s kind embrace. Her sudden, shocking loss has devastated people all around the world,” he wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of Lisa Marie and Elvis star Austin Butler.
He continued, “I know her fans everywhere join me in sharing prayers of love and support with her mother, Priscilla, and her wonderful daughters Riley, Finley and Harper.”
“Lisa Marie, we will miss your warmth, your smile, your love,” he concluded.
There has been an outpouring of love for Lisa Marie and her family in the hours since her death as many celebrities shared their thoughts. That includes Elvis star Tom Hanks, who issued a touching statement.
Lisa Marie‘s final resting place was confirmed by her oldest daughter’s team.
