Harry Maguire transfer – next club odds: West Ham and Aston Villa favourites, Chelsea and Tottenham possible contenders

ASTON VILLA are favourites to sign Manchester United centre-back Harry Maguire.

That’s according to Sky Bet, who’ve made Unai Emery’s side the 11-2 leading contenders to clinch his signature during the January transfer window.

However, there’s several other contenders in the mix.

West Ham are second in Sky Bet’s next club market at 16-1, followed by London rivals Tottenham (20-1) and Chelsea (28-1).

Maguire’s future is looking increasingly uncertain.

The England international has fallen down the pecking order at Old Trafford and now sits behind Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez in the starting XI.

Erik ten Hag has even deployed left-back Luke Shaw as a makeshift central defender in recent weeks.

The 29-year-old has started just four Premier League games this season, and made a total of 15 appearances in all competitions.

And that’s encouraged his admirers to lodge their interest.

Aston Villa (11-2) supposedly had an offer rejected by Manchester United in early January, but remains favourite in the betting markets.

West Ham follow at 16-1 having reportedly had their loan enquiry dismissed by the United hierarchy this week.

The Daily Mail claim David Moyes’ side made an audacious approach but Ten Hag would prefer to keep Maguire at the club for the remainder of the campaign.

Spurs are priced at 20-1, while Chelsea are still available at 28-1 despite claims they are looking to strengthen their defence.
