The Board of Secondary Education in Assam is circulating separate answer scripts for objective and descriptive questions to the class x board examinees this year. 50 of the weightage in the theory papers of four core subjects will be on objective questions, while the rest 50 on descriptive questions. The four core subjects are English, Mathematics, Science, and Social Science. The internal assessment was done for 10 marks in each paper. The theory exam covers 90 out of 100 marks. The answer scripts for the objective question paper will be distributed 15 minutes before the commencement of the exam, while the answer script for the descriptive question paper will be distributed one hour later. This is a new pattern of class x board exams in Assam and we are the pioneering board in doing so in the northeast. Over 4 lakh candidates have registered for class x board exams starting from March 3.
