At least five persons, including a doctor couple, suffocated to death after a massive fire broke out at the RC Hazra Memorial Hospital under the Bank More police station here early on Saturday morning. A few patients hospitalised at the prominent maternity care centre of the district were unaffected as the flames were restricted to the second floor of the three-storey building.
