ARSENAL boss Mikel Arteta has said Gabriel Jesus needs to earn his starting XI spot back just like any other player.

The Brazilian returned to action against Fulham last weekend, coming off the bench late in the game.

“It’s great to have him back and it was such a big boost for Gabi and for the club. But now he has to earn his place in the team like every player,” Arteta said.

Elsewhere, Declan Rice is “almost certain” to leave West Ham and is “likely” to join the Gunners, according to reports.

In other news, Arsenal have been dealt a blow in the race for Fulham star Joao Palhinha.
