Mum-of-12’s laundry mountain leaves people stunned – but it’s a different thing that has people really talking
A MUM of 12 has revealed the huge laundry mountain she tackles on a weekly basis, leaving people stunned – although there’s one other thing that’s grabbing their attention too.
We know that kids can be messy, but Alicia revealed that she sometimes has to sort as many as THREE baskets of clean washing in one sitting just to keep on top of it.
Sharing a timelapse to her TikTok page, the ‘superwoman’ showed more than 16 piles of tops, trousers, and underwear taking over the entire living room floor.
However, her followers were more distracted by their labrador Miracle, spotted in the front of the video looking totally unphased.
Known online as the @doughertydozen, Alicia regularly shares updates about her huge family, made up of foster and adopted kids, based in New York, USA.
In a new TikTok reel, she said: “Folding laundry for my family of 14.”
During the 28-second reel, Alicia is seen sitting on an armchair in the family’s living room, pulling items out of a large white basket before folding them and placing them in small piles on the floor.
As the video goes on, less and less of the floor becomes visible.
Towards the end of the clip, the mum is seen pouring out hundreds of socks onto the floor in an attempt to pair them up.
Below the video, she added: “My favourite part is how completely unbothered our dog is during all of this.”
Fans loved the honest glimpse inside the family’s life, with the video gaining more than 4,800 likes and 139,600 views.
In the comments, TikTok users shared their reactions, with many stunned by the huge piles of clothes.
One wrote: “And here I am struggling with a toddler and a newborn leaving laundry for days.”
“Idk how you remember what clothes belong to each person. I would have to do one person’s clothes at a time, commented another.
A third added: “Girl I do about 10 loads a week and I thought I had a lot to fold! Goodness sakes. And my older ones do their own so if I did theirs, I’d never be done.”
Someone else put: “How are you so organised?!”
“Superwoman,” said another.
Others struggled to spot their pet amongst the piles of washing, with another commenting: “I can’t find the dog. I love your videos!”
