Love Island legend rushed to hospital after suffering ‘excruciating’ pains
A LOVE Island star has been rushed to hospital after suffering “excruciating pains.”
AJ Bunker rose to fame on Love Island back in 2021 and has outlined her scary medical issues to her Instagram fans.
In a post showing her hooked up to a drip, she told how she was in “urgent care for 12 hours” and subject to “a number of tests.”
AJ, full name Andrea-Jane, is a hair extension technician and told fans: “Thank you for all the messages.
“Over the last few days I developed pain in my back and abdomen.
“I didn’t think much of it and just ignored it.
“However last night it became excruciatingly painful at the point of needing to go to hospital.”
The Dunstable-born star added: “I was in urgent care for 12 hours undergoing a number of tests and put on an IV.
“I’ve now been discharged however need to go back for a few days for an ultrasound.”
She finished off her post with a plea to fans to prioritise their health.
AJ added: “Please guys listen to your body and don’t do what I did with ignoring pains and aches until it gets extremely bad.
“Big thank you to the nurses and doctors who took care of me at the L&D.”
AJ didn’t have much success during her Love Island stint, and was dumped ahead of the arrival of three new bombshells.
At the time, AJ faced further salt in the wound when her partner Hugo delivered the news.
The beauty has since exclusively spilled the villa secrets to The Sun – including why the stars wear sunglasses in bed.
AJ was given four weeks’ notice before travelling to Majorca for the show – but even then insists it was “never 100 per cent” she would appear on Love Island.
In the past, many have speculated that Love Island is fake or scripted to make better TV, but AJ claims that’s not the case.
“It’s not scripted 100 per cent but for filming purposes, they ask who you want to chat to and where so the cameras can focus on you,” she said.
“They tell you which areas of the garden are already busy and suggest, ‘Well, he’s sitting over there why not grab a chat now’ – they give you a little push but it’s not forced.”
AJ also claimed contestants always wear sunglasses in the morning – even in bed – because they are “woken by a massive, bright light”.
She added: “It’s awful, it’s like the light of God. It’s the brightest and it’s why everyone wears sunglasses in the morning.
“It’s not because no one has any make-up on, it’s because we’ve all just been blinded by that brutal light.”
