As one heads to Govind Dham, two huge colourful towers in nearby Partap Singh Wala catch the eye. These are city’s own ‘bird towers’, a first in Ludhiana. Bhagwan Mahavir Jeev Trust is constructing these two seven-storey bird towers — each 45ft-high — on the top of a building. These bird towers will house more than 2,500 birds and the building below would serve as a specialised veterinarian hospital for treating injured and sick birds.
