Two years later Patrick Reed won with pre-tournament odds of 70/1, as did Hideki Matsuyama just a couple of years ago.

The defending champions is joined by Rory McIlroy as joint favourite, with last year’s runner up still yet to win at Augusta which would complete a career grand slam for the Northern Irishman.
Jon Rahm has the next shortest odds at 7/1 as the Spaniard looks to win his second career major following his victory in the US Open two years ago.
2015 champion Jordan Spieth has been given odds of 12/1, with Patrick Cantlay at 14/1 and current Open champion Cameron Smith at 16/1.
Betfair spokesperson Sam Rosbottom said: “The first golf major of the year is upon us and history is on the side of Tiger Woods at Augusta this week.
“We’ve been looking into the Betfair archive, and the average odds of the Masters winner since 2012 is 40/1, which is exactly the odds that punters can back the five-time champion.
“Rory McIlroy came so close to a career Grand Slam when coming second in last year’s event and it could be a memorable Masters for him this year as he goes into the tournament as the 11/2 joint-favourite along with 2022 winner Scottie Scheffler, to finally win the elusive green jacket.
“It’s been a rocky year for golf, with many high profile stars breaking away from the PGA tour and all eyes will be on the 18 LIV Golf players who are set to compete in this year’s US Masters.
“Reigning Open champion Cameron Smith is the most fancied LIV Golfer to win the Masters at 16/1, while 2020 winner Dustin Johnson is 20/1.”
