A WOMAN who describes herself as a “professional housewife” has shared her top cleaning advice.
The TikTok user regularly shows her followers her household organizational tips.
Charmie, 33, spoke to The U.S. Sun about how she keeps her house so pristine.
The cleaning expert shares her cleaning hacks on her TikTok page, which has almost 100K followers.
Despite having just recently given birth to her second child, Charmie has continued to help and guide her cult following in their household tasks.
The Detroit native explained: “I am a certified germaphobe, so I have most definitely always been a clean person.”
Charmie revealed that she became obsessed with cleanliness after growing up with her mother’s hoarding.
“I vowed to never be that way and always keep a clean and neat home,” she said.
The cleaning influencer kept her promise, even joking about how her husband gets “annoyed” with her cleanliness.
Charmie detailed the areas of her home that she cleans on a regular basis, which other people tend to ignore.
“I think the most common oversights are things needing to be dusted.
“How dirty the walls can get, especially if there is a smoker or children in the home,” she said.
“Furniture and things that are touched often like the remote, door knobs, light switches…
“Even under the faucet where the water comes out from, can get extremely nasty.”
Charmie revealed that she finds traditional chemical-based cleaning products to be “overhyped.”
“I like to mainly clean with vinegar as it is all natural and more safe.
“I don’t like to have tons of chemicals on hand as I have two little children and want them as safe as possible,” she explained.
And as a mother of two young children, Charmie finds time to clean whenever she can.
“During the day, I am mainly taking care of my children,” she shared.
“At night when the kids are settled and asleep, that is when I bust out the scrubber brushes and get to cleaning.
“It’s easier for me to clean and not have to look after anyone at the same time. I’m able to move a lot faster.”
If you’re not as enthusiastic about cleaning as Charmie, she recommends taking it little but little.
“I would say to take at least 30 minutes out of the day and clean one part of the house,” she advised.
“Before you leave a room, take something out of that room that doesn’t belong and that also helps to keep a clean house.”
According to the cleaning expert, tackling messes as they appear can also be a good way of maintaining a pristine household.
The mom-of-two’s favorite outlandish cleaning hack involves using vinegar as a scrub-free cleaner.
“If you place vinegar in a dirty microwave and heat it for 30 seconds, you are able to wipe the mess completely out without having to scrub,” she revealed.
Charmie is also one of many cleaning fanatics to swap out fabric softener for vinegar.
The influencer shared her favorite mantra when it comes to maintaining a clean home.
She explained: “Cleaning doesn’t have to be a chore, you can make it fun.
“Turn on your favorite music and just get it done. Waking up to a mess-free home is perfect for everyone’s mental health.”
