A BEAUTY fan was left mortified after an attempt to contour her face with fake tan went horribly wrong.
Imagine waking up in the morning and not having to spend crucial bed time doing your make-up?
This is exactly what one woman, Julia Machunik (@juliamachunik), from Warsaw, Poland, had in mind when she saw a beauty hack going viral on TikTok.
The simple trick involves using fake tan as a contour, so you’d start your day with a snatched face and a healthy glow.
After following instructions she had seen on the popular social media platform, Julia decided to give it a go.
But unfortunately, things didn’t quite go to plan and she took to TikTok to reveal the not so tan-tastic aftermath to her 238k followers.
Instead of a bronzed complexion and looking like she had just returned from a sunny holiday in the Maldives, the Polish stunner was a hot mess.
There were numerous orange patches all over her face and the nose contour had come out rather chunky, she demonstrated in the now-viral clip.
Mortified at the total flop, Julia added that is must’ve been her karma.
Hundreds of fellow beauty fans flocked to comments, where numerous people thanked her for revealing what the hack actually looked like.
”This is EXACTLY why I’m not attempting this before my vacation next weekend. Thank u and sorry queen [sic],” wrote one.
”I want to thank you for this. You’re the real MVP,” another penned.

However, some also insisted she had done it all wrong and urged her to give it another go.
”I do this every week and it looks amazing. Definitely worth a second try,” a fake tan lover said.
”I think it just needs more blending.”
”You have to blend it in like you would blend in ur makeup and also se a brush,” another TikTok user wrote.
Speaking of beauty fails, one woman experienced such brutal swelling after getting her lips done, you could see the humongous pout behind a mask.
Desperate to give her lips more volume, TikTok user Jessica Cailey Burko (@jessicacaileyburko), from the US, decided to fork out for fillers.
However, her dream of a juicy put soon turned into a nightmare, as she experienced severe swelling.
The mortified beauty lover, who is a fitness brand associate, took to TikTok to reveal the jaw-dropping, brutal fail – and people were lost for words.
”So I got my lips done yesterday – and something bad happened,” she said in her video.
According to the young woman, after the appointment, her pout just kept ballooning and ballooning in size – to the point she was in tears.
”This really sucks,” Jessica said, whilst hiding behind a face mask.
But to make matters worse, there was no point in rocking a blue face mask, as people insisted they could still see the humongous pout peeking through.
Luckily, it appears that since posting the clip on social media, the brutal swelling has calmed down and Jessica looks heaps better.
However, TikTok fans could not get over just how dramatic the look was, with many claiming it was an allergy gone wrong.
”You might be allergic to lidocaine babe, or the filler. I would definitely take an allergy test just to be safe,” said one viewer.
”This happened to me too but it goes down, you just have extreme swelling,” another shared their horror story.
”I got my lips done three times in three years and every time is swells like that.”
”Oh my gosh, they look so sore, I really hope you’re ok,” someone added.
A fourth wrote: ”Nothing on earth could tempt me to risk this.”
