I’m an air fryer whizz and here’s how I make a delicious gammon – plus the 43p buy to get it sparkling clean after
THERE’S nothing better than a delicious bit of gammon on a Sunday afternoon, but having to wait around all day for your meat to cook, only to accidentally over-cook it, is anything but ideal.
However, one foodie has shown off her simple recipe for cooking delicious roast gammon and it’s just in time for the Easter weekend.
And with this recipe, there is no oven in sight – as food fan Ashlea (@ashleas_kitchen), uses her air fryer to get her meat cooked to perfection.
In one of her recent videos, Ashlea demonstrated how she cooks a joint of gammon in an air fryer and it has left many very impressed.
If you have joined the air fryer gang, this is definitely one worth trying and it’s safe to say, our mouths are now watering, so if you are a fan of gammon, you’ll want to listen up.
She shared her clip with the caption ‘One of my favourite meals, air fryer gammon joint.’
The food fan said: “I haven’t cooked a gammon joint in ages so I thought I’d show you all again how I cook it in my air fryer.
“I unwrap it all and pop it in the air fryer on air fry mode on 180 for 40 minutes.
“I then get my glaze ready – I do honey, wholegrain mustard and brown sugar.
“I pour it all over, make sure I cover it all and pop it back in another five minutes and there you go, done.
“This is so tasty, this is one of my favourite meals, I love it.
“I then slice it up, put it on a plate with some potatoes and some salad.”
If you fancy giving this recipe a try but are worried about how you’ll get your much-loved gadget clean afterwards, fear not.
Ashlea then revealed how she gets her air fryer looking brand new again, thanks to a 43p buy.
She advised: “And then for those of you who are always so concerned about how I clean my air fryer afterwards, I literally just put some Fairy Liquid in, let it soak, pour it out.
“I probably let it soak for a good half an hour and it is honestly so easy to clean.
“I literally just use a bit of Fairy Liquid, a bit of water and give it a rub.
“That’s it. So easy. “
If you fancy giving this fuss-free hack a try, you can nab washing up liquid for as little as 43p from Morrisons.
Ashlea shared her video just six days ago, but it has clearly impressed many, as it has quickly amassed 102.7k views.
It has 2,475 likes, 24 comments and 287 shares.
Social media users were left open-mouthed at her delicious gammon, with many expressing this in the comments.

A third commented: “Looks lush.”
Whilst someone else revealed: “I [did] this after your video, it was delicious.”
