In the Tomb Of Terror challenge teased on Instagram Nathan, wearing a red top, can be seen donning a helmet as he crawls through a tunnel before bugs drop down on him.
After making his way through, he is forced to put his hand in a series of holes, with one containing some slimy frogs, to secure stars for camp.
Later, after he secures another meal, he pulls on a chord to reach another star only to be plunged through a trap door into a pool of water.
It remains to be seen if this will shake him up – and how many stars he can secure for camp.
Last week, Nathan shared the news of his new telly gig on Instagram.
He posted a video recorded just before he left to go into the jungle.
A shirtless Nathan said in the clip: “Good morning everyone, if you are seeing this then the news has obviously broke that I am going into the jungle to do I’m A Celebrity Australia. I think that is the car outside waiting to pick me up.
“I am so excited, I am so nervous, this is the biggest secret I have ever kept and youse know I have got a very big mouth. I hope I do the UK proud and I hope everyone votes for me to win. I am getting a bit emotional, what the f***. “
He signed off by adding: “I am going to go anyway but thank you and n but I hope youse enjoy it. I am going into the f***ing jungle, what the f***.”
His co-stars rushed to congratulate him.
“Well done Nathan!!! Go and smash it” wrote Marnie Simpson.
Vicky Pattison, who has appeared in the Down Under version of the show, along with Charlotte Crosby, added: “Smash it son.”
