Peskov talks about Russia’s response to NATO expansion

“Naturally, this forces us to take countermeasures to ensure our own security both tactically and strategically,” Peskov said.
According to him, Russia will be closely watching what will happen in Finland after the country joins NATO – based on this, the measures which Russia deems necessary will be taken.
“We will be keeping a close eye on what will be happening in Finland and how the North Atlantic bloc will exploit Finnish territory in terms of deployment of weapons, systems and infrastructure, which will be close to our borders and potentially threaten us. Measures will be taken depending on this. <…> Believe me, our military will report everything in due time,” Peskov clarified.
