Who is Nick Bell?

Nick Bell is a Melbourne-born smart-tech CEO.

After dropping out of his university course just six weeks in, he launched his first business selling skincare products.

However, the business didn’t reach the success he had hoped for.

Nick then launched his first search marketing firm with $400 in his pocket called WME in 2008.

He later went on to sell it to Melbourne IT for $39 million in 2017.

In 2019, he co-founded Removify with Andrew Whiteford.

His companies now employ more than 1000 people and his group expands internationally.

Nick is also an investor in Tribe, Frase.io, Disputify, Vervoe, Cannabis, Ideapod, Lead Chat and Greenfields.

In 2020, The Financial Review published in their Rich List that Bell is worth an estimated $274 million.

In 2022, Bell appeared as a boardroom advisor for the sixth season of The Celebrity Apprentice Australia.

He is now back once again for the seventh season alongside retail magnate Janine Allis.

Bell admitted that being surrounded by the powerhouse entrepreneurs was one of the main reasons he signed up for the show.

Speaking to 9Entertainment, he said: “The reason why I became an Advisor is to work directly with Janine Allis and Lord Sugar [is] they are at the pinnacle of their careers.

“To work with them and learn from them was a dream come true.”

On what keeps him motivated to continue expanding his businesses, he added: “My greatest motivator in life is to continue challenging myself every single day. It’s not about the money.

“It would be easy to just sit on the couch, but I want to keep learning and keep growing.

“That’s one of the reasons I’m doing the Apprentice, to push myself outside my comfort zone.”
