Inside Stacey Dooley and Kevin Clifton’s minimalist nursery for baby Minnie
STACEY Dooley and Kevin Clifton have given fans a glimpse inside their minimalist nursery for baby daughter Minnie.
Strictly Come Dancing winner Stacey welcomed her daughter into the world with her former pro partner Kevin in January.
The couple have only just shared their nursery makeover on Insatgram, and revealed the brightly lit room’s wooden floors and netural walls painted in a blush pink tone from Little Greene called Masquerade.
They’ve decorated the room’s traditional fireplace with cute ornaments like a cereamic rabit and a flower pot, and painted the eye-catching mantlepiece white.
One Instagram-glam corner features a full length mirror, a cream play mat and a white fluffy rug.
Stacey, 35, has also added touches of nature with a large evergreen plant next to the window.
She told fans: “Decorating Minnie’s little nursery was such a pleasure and I’m delighted with how the space has turned out.
“It’s super chill and v calming in there..her little sanctuary!
“@littlegreenpaintcompany were super helpful and sent a handful of sample pots over so we could find the perf shade.
“We went with Masquerade – Mid which is a powdery pink with gorgeous earthy undertones – and we love it!
“My painter, (Neil who is the BIGGEST sweetheart and has used every paint out there) actually said Little Greene was one of his fave paints to work with.
“Here’s the result! Enjoy! (Before it’s covered in toys and manky muslin cloths!”
Before announcing her pregnancy, Stacey said she had gone through a crisis about being childless at 35 after filming for a documentary.
She was forced to dig deep during her 10-day stay with the Sisters of St Hilda’s Priory Order of the Holy Paraclete in Whitby, North Yorkshire for her new show.
She told The Sun how the experience – which saw her living alongside the nuns – made her prioritise her life at home with Kevin.
In a scene from the show, Stacey said: “For the last 15 years it’s been work, work, career, work, work and then your private life is on the back burner. I’m 35 so…”
When a nun asked her if she “wanted a family”, she concluded: “I know. I need to start thinking about it, don’t I?”
Stacey, from Luton, is best known for her TV roles, and her first-ever telly job was on Blood, Sweat And T-shirts.
