Massive Fire Guts Thousands of Shopts in Bangladesh’s Dhaka
At least 3,000 shops in one of the biggest clothing markets were burnt to ashes in the Bangladesh Capital, Dhaka; no one was known to be trapped inside, given that the fire broke in the early morning.
According to fire officials, a massive fire destroyed thousands of shops in a large market in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh.
The fire broke out early on Tuesday at Bangabazar Market, a popular location for clothing and ready-made clothing, presumably saving people from any potential risk.
Army and firefighter troops were battling a major fire that had engulfed a 3,000-store shopping centre.
Forty-seven fire service units are reportedly attempting to suppress the fire, according to the authorities, the AP said. It also stated that the fire’s origin still needed to be discovered.
The report said that shop owners and staff members in the market flocked to the scene and were observed taking goods from their stores.
So far, no causalities have been reported.
