Sacked taxi driver shared naked pictures of ex-boss online in revenge

A former taxi driver who was fired tried to get revenge by sharing naked pictures of his former boss online.

Ian Crabb, 49, was sacked from a taxi firm after his boss found out he had started a relationship with another colleague.

In retaliation Crabb found naked pictures of his boss and shared them in a Facebook group chat.

He added fairy and rainbow emojis and called his former boss a ‘porn star’.

Crabb, of Elmes Drive in Southampton, Hampshire, was told at Southampton Magistrates’ Court by magistrate Gary Chant that it ‘wasn’t the most wise thing’ to do.

He pleaded guilty to sending an offensive, indecent, obscene or menacing message by a public communication network.

In his defence, Nigel Couzens said Crabb had removed the pictures – taken in his boss’s youth – shortly after posting them, the Daily Echo reports.

He also suggested the pictures were already ‘in the public domain’.

Mr Couzens added: ‘He had a good relationship with the boss until he started dating one of the staff there.

‘This is a silly one-off moment. He is not somebody that is going to come before you again.

‘He has learnt the error of his ways. He has shown remorse. He knows he shouldn’t have done it and he isn’t going to do it again.’

He was given a six-month community order with up to 15 rehabilitation activity requirement days.

He was also ordered to pay £100 in compensation and a £50 fine.
