Doocy Battles With Kilmeade: I Feel Like I'm Getting Heckled

0

During the A-block of Fox and Friends, co-host Steve Doocy tried to explain to an outraged Brian Kilmeade why Jack Smith had the power to subpoena Trump attorney Evan Corcoran. It didn't go well.

Kilmeade was furious (all program) over today's Trump arraignment in Manhattan and then weirdly segued into his hatred of Jack Smith's Mar-A-Lago investigation.

“They are now making secret service testify. They make his own attorney, Corcoran. He has to testify against his own client,” Kilmeade said. “...Jack Smith is somehow rocket fuel to get Trump in a way that I can’t believe people aren’t challenging this and saying, even if I don’t like Donald Trump, what’s going on here?"

Doocy jumped in.

Because of the crime we've talked about this, "Doocy exclaimed. "The crime-fraud exemption. If you get legal advice during the execution of a crime….”

“Almost never happens,” Kilmeade said smugly.

“It happens more than you would believe.”

“Talk to Mark Levin about that.”

“Your attorney-client privilege goes out the window. Regarding the Secret Service...” Doocy continued.

Kilmeade would not stop.

“How many times has it happened? It’s nuts!" Kilmeade cried. "You have an attorney and secret service, and you flip them?”

“I am just talking about what is the law? That is the law," Doocy explained, again..

“Rarely used,” Kilmeade whined.

“Well, It’s used in this case.”

“No kidding,” Kilmeade sighed.
