After a CEC meeting at the AICC to finalise the remaining Congress candidates, Siddaramaiah and Shivakumar made a joint appearance, along with the AICC general secretary in-charge, before media persons. Both maintained that while they have individual ambitions, their common goal is to ensure the Congress victory.
