Quick service restaurant chains in India are expanding their businesses and hiring more staff, despite some seeing subdued growth last quarter. Many of these chains are launching in tier-2 and tier-3 cities, where little competition exists in the food delivery space, as increasing disposable incomes enable new customers to explore and become hooked on QSR. Unlike some other sectors, QSR chains are not currently facing issues with obtaining funding. An official at a leading international private equity fund said India's growth story is "quite strong" and that QSR chains represent a big investment opportunity since the majority of the market is unorganised.
