7115 Williamsburg is a minimal space located in Brooklyn, New York, designed by Frama. The 60-square-meter boutique showcases the brand’s timeless unisex apparel, distinguished by intelligent detailing, and invites visitors to immerse themselves in the essence of 7115 on a sensory and personal level. In contrast to the bustling energy of New York City, the store’s tranquil and restorative interior design emphasizes minimalist aesthetics. The aim was to create a space that both supports the creative practices of its clientele and encourages inspiration. The architects took advantage of the typical New York long and narrow space, emphasizing high ceilings to create a distinctive atmosphere. Collaborating with local timber supplier Hudson Company, the team fashioned a beam-column structure using reclaimed pine wood lumber sourced from Hudson Valley. This construction serves as a shelving system for displaying the brand’s collections while accommodating retail needs.
The monumental expression of the room evokes a gallery-like ambiance, reminiscent of the industrial heritage of the Williamsburg Bridge connecting Brooklyn and Manhattan. The interior design bridges symbolic references, celebrating authenticity and the local community while remaining true to the core values of 7115 as a brand. The airy, loft-like space was achieved by removing some of the original faux ceilings, creating a more streamlined, open area. A cool, icy blue-grey plaster adorns the walls, while a soft beige yellow graces the ceiling and upper wall levels, resulting in a light, sun-kissed atmosphere. The space is further enhanced by concrete floors, handcrafted tile work, and accents of aluminum and stainless steel fittings, reclaimed pine, stained birch, and canvas. Japanese paper sconces and warm LED fixtures layer the space with subtle illumination, adding to the serene and inspiring environment that 7115 by Szeki has crafted for its design-focused clientele.
