Blue Jackets F Yegor Chinakhov signs extension

Columbus Blue Jackets forward Yegor Chinakhov signed a one-year contract extension on Tuesday.

Financial terms were not disclosed by the team for Chinakhov, who is locked up through the 2023-24 season.

Chinakhov, 22, recorded 13 points (four goals, nine assists) in 30 games before sustaining an ankle injury versus the Dallas Stars on Dec. 19. He returned to the ice with Cleveland of the American Hockey League on Feb. 27
