The Pentagon just named an Apple exec to a top post

Doug Beck, a veteran of both Apple and the military, will oversee a group focused on adopting innovations from the commercial sector.

On Tuesday, the U.S. Defense Department announced the appointment of Apple executive Doug Beck as head of its Defense Innovation Unit, a group that seeks out and certifies commercial sector technologies for use by the armed forces.
