Finnish Election Results Show Voters Are Not Impressed With Sanna Marin’s Antics
Finnish voters rejected their prime minister who did not reject many.
Photographs showed the married 36-year-old dancing with a pop star, a rapper, and an actor, drinking, grinding with a hot model named Sabina Särkkä, and partying at her tax-funded digs as two topless women kissed.
Sanna Marin struck some as not very presidential. Others surely grasped that they elected a member of the Social Democratic Party, after all.
The Associated Press story on Sunday’s elections described Marin as “a highly popular prime minister” but over the weekend Finland narrowly favored a center-right party and a right-wing party over her party.
Do “highly popular” politicians usually lead their parties to third place in elections?
As a consolation from looking at the depressing election results, Marin can always look in the mirror.
