Viktor Hovland, Jon Rahm share early lead at 7 under

Viktor Hovland and Jon Rahm fired 7-under-pars 65s to set a torrid pace Thursday in the first round of the Masters Tournament at Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Ga.

It was Hovland's first round in the 60s at Augusta in this, his fourth career appearance. His best Masters finish was a T21 in 2021 and previous best round was a 70.

Rahm of Spain overcame a double-bogey 6 on the first hole. He played 9-under-par golf
