After the Buzzer – Vipers Even Up Series With 7-0 Win in Game 4
Vernon, BC: It wasn’t a must win, but the Vipers sure played like it was as they got goals from 7 different scorers and Ethan David shut the door as the Vipers ran away with Game 4 by a 7-0 score.
Just like a night ago the Vipers got the scoring start just 1:09 into the game as Connor Welsh deflected home a Luke Ashton point shot. That was the second goal of the playoffs for Welsh.
Dylan Compton, the games second start, scored his first goal of the playoffs on a delayed penalty as he potted home his own rebound making it 2-0. Compton would pitch in with 2 assists in the 3rd period.
Hank Cleaves had the backbreaker goal just 7 seconds after the Compton goal as the shoot in ricocheted off the zamboni doors right to Cleaves in front, who made no mistake.
Lee Parks scored for the fourth straight game just 11 seconds into the second period which would spell the end of the night for Cayden Hamming.
Griffen Barr and Reagan Milburn each had powerplay goals in the 3rd period and Max Borovinskiy finished off the scoring late in regulation time.
Ethan David was magnificent making 28 saves for his second win of the playoffs and 7th career shutout. He made some clutch saves with his team shorthanded to keep the Warriors at bay.
The Vipers won the special teams battle going 2 for 4 on the powerplay and their PK a perfect 6 for 6.
Cayden Hamming made 7 saves on 11 shots before being replaced by Angelo Zol who stopped 18 of 21.
Game 5 will go Friday night at Royal LePage Place in West Kelowna.
