Video reveals Ai Weiwei's Making Sense exhibition at the Design Museum

0

Take a sneak peek at Chinese artist Ai Weiwei's first design-focused exhibition in this video created by Dezeen at the Design Museum in London.

The video shows the exhibition, named Ai Weiwei: Making Sense, ahead of its public opening tomorrow at London's Design Museum.

Ai Weiwei: Making Sense is described as the artist's first exhibition focused on design. It contains a broad range of pieces – many created specifically for the exhibition – that utilise varied materials.

It centres on a series of five "field works" made from hundreds of thousands of cannonballs, donated Lego bricks and Stone Age axe heads. The exhibition also includes a marble toilet roll, a Han dynasty urn painted with a Coca-Cola logo and prints displaying the National Stadium.

Read more about the exhibition here.

Ai Weiwei: Making Sense is on display at London's Design Museum from 7 April to 30 July 2023. See Dezeen Events Guide for an up-to-date list of architecture and design events taking place around the world.
