In wake of indictment, exonerated 'Central Park Five' member recreates Trump's vile 1989 ad stunt
In a story that should rank among the most satisfying examples of karmic retribution in history, one of the members of the wrongfully accused, wrongfully convicted, and ultimately exonerated “Central Park Five” created his own version of the full-page ad Donald Trump once published in The New York Times and other papers, calling for his and his fellow exonerees’ execution. It was a direct response to Tuesday’s arraignment of Donald Trump on felony charges in New York State Supreme Court.

Editor’s note: Multiple sources—including those used for an earlier version of this story—have incorrectly reported that Salaam’s ad was run in The New York Times. In truth, Salaam’s ad was delivered as a tweet and fundraising email. The story and headline have been corrected, and we regret the error.
