Timberwolves’ Rudy Gobert sent home after punching teammate Kyle Anderson; Jaden McDaniels injures hand punching wall
The Minnesota Timberwolves' matchup with the New Orleans Pelicans on Sunday saw unbridled frustration during a timeout in the first half along with a separate explosive incident. When all was said and done, the team found itself with two less players for the day.
As center Rudy Gobert and forward Kyle Anderson appeared to engage in an animated discussion, Gobert punched Anderson and chaos broke loose at the Timberwolves bench.
According to multiplereports, Gobert was sent home by the team. Shortly after, Minnesota announced the French big man was "out for the remainder of the game." He left with 2 points for the day.
The Wolves were down by 12 when series of events occurred, with 4:23 left in the second quarter. Gobert was subbed out of the game and Anderson took his place on the court.

Gobert's wasn't the only punch thrown by a Timberwolves player in the arena on Sunday. Broadcast cameras captured Forward Jaden McDaniels punching a wall in the tunnel and immediately grabbing his hand in pain. The team went on to announce he was out for the game as well.
