Child dies in park in Easter Sunday tragedy

A child died at a park in South Yorkshire on Easter Sunday.

Ambulances and police rushed to Clifton Park on Doncaster Road in Rotherham on Sunday.

Locals reported an area being cordoned off around 4pm.

South Yorkshire Police confirmed tonight that the response related to a child who died.

The death is not being treated as suspicious, The Star reports.

The age and gender of the child remains unknown at this time.
