Particulate matter (PM) emissions are highest in Ramgarh among the 2-tier cities of the state, followed by Hazaribag, Pakur, Sahibganj, Chaibasa and Dumka, says a report jointly prepared by the Centre for Study of Science and Technology and Policy and the Centre for Environment and Energy Development under the aegis of the Jharkhand State Pollution Control Board (JSPCB).
