White-collar hiring in India grew by 2% in March, boosted by demand from the retail, telecoms and tourism sectors. The annual rise in hiring was driven by recruitment in these sectors, according to Foundit Insights Tracker (FIT). However, hiring activity decreased by 1% month-on-month due to hiring slowdowns by several sectors. Gig workers saw an 11% year-on-year growth, the report said.
