MasterChef fans all have the same complaint about tribute challenge
MASTERCHEF fans all said the same thing about the standard of dishes for the tribute challenge.
They were left unimpressed by the menu options as the BBC1 show kicked off with contestants desperate to impress hosts Gregg Wallace and John Torode.
Telly fans flocked to Twitter to complain as chef Matthew revealed what he was cooking.
Inspired by TV chef Ainsley Harriott, he whipped up a delicious jerk chicken, mac and cheese and plantain.
While judge Gregg was blown away by it, fans had other ideas.
One Tweeted: “Well my prediction about Plantain and Chicken was right.”
A second said: “Plantain mix up again.. pls.”
Matthew then left fans baffled when he went on to do an impression of TV legend Ainsley.
One fan giggled: “Worst impression ever.”
The jam-packed episode was full of emotion – with one contestant even breaking down in tears at his ‘disappointing dish.’
Meanwhile another chef, Vanessa, left fans in shock with her bizarre fusion dish of pasta mixed with chocolate and berries.
After impressing the chefs on Tuesday night’s show, Matthew, Vanessa, Terri and Nicholas made it through to the semi-finals.
