U.S. stocks close mixed as traders wait for inflation data

NEW YORK, April 11 (Xinhua) -- U.S. stocks ended mixed on Tuesday ahead of the release of U.S. consumer price index and producer price index.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 98.27 points, or 0.29 percent, to 33,684.79. The S&P 500 fell 0.17 points and closed flat at 4,108.94. The Nasdaq Composite Index decreased 52.48 points, or 0.43 percent, to 12,031.88.
