“You have 1.4 billion people. You have a very rapidly growing middle class. People want to travel for all sorts of reasons here like leisure, business and events. But there is not a big stock of hotels within infrastructure that is continuing to be built around the country in the form of airports, highways and more train capacity. There are not enough hotel rooms,” said Nassetta.
