SPRING is here and if you are trawling through your closet desperately in search for a weather appropriate outfit, but to no avail then we are here to help.
Spring dressing can be difficult, as it can be quite balmy and still cold, but these essentials are all you need.
Even if there are blue skies, and blossom on trees, there can still be a breeze, so layering is always a great idea so you can regulate your body temperature.
However, spring dressing doesn’t necessarily mean waving goodbye to parka jackets and thermals.
Our best plan of attack is to build a capsule wardrobe, now it’s time to tailor it to the Spring season, and it only requires a few tweaks.
Swap your insulated jackets for more lightweight designs, such as a denim jacket, bomber jacket or mac.
Or swap out your leather wide leg trousers for a floaty midi skirt, or the latest on-trend denim design, which has given us major 90s inspiration.
A pair of white trainers are always a classic all year round, particularly in spring when it’s not quite sandals weather.
Other layering items, such as a lightweight cardigan, crochet jumper, or sweatshirt, and blazer are winning formulas, as you can wear all together for warmth, or tie your sweatshirt around your neck and over your blazer for when the sun’s out.

Midi skirts have been on our radar for quite some time, in particular bias satin cut styles.
We have long worn the midi length chic skirt, both day and night, but now it’s time for the return of the maxi variation.
A maxi skirt was a hit circa 2010, and over 10 years later it’s back with a bang – and we are not complaining.
A maxi skirt in satin, or even the latest trend, which is a denim maxi skirt, is all we can talk about, and they are perfect to dress up or down to suit all occasions.

3. T-shirt/ Basics
We will never get sick of a crisp white t-shirt.
We have plenty of the go-to basic, but you can never have too many, in our opinion, as they go with everything.
M&S’ designs are a hit as they are made from 100% cotton, as part of the brand’s Better Cotton Initiative, plus they are super affordable priced at under £10.
This t-shirt style comes in a total of eight colours, but the white has been sold over 100 times in the last 48 hours, so that is saying something.

4. Linen Shirt
Just like a white t-shirt is a wardrobe must-have all year round, a linen shirt is a failsafe garment for the spring and summer months.
Come the summer we live in linen shirts, as they are lightweight, breathable, and the perfect throw on for those who want to feel a little more covered up.
Throw loosely over a tank top and shorts, or a dress, even jeans, for a laid back look.

5. White trainers
New Balance trainers are soaring in popularity, with sales for the footwear soaring.
The 550 style in particular are the ones to shop for, especially in the classic white and grey colourway as they will complement every outfit.
These trainers can be paired with jeans, in particular wide leg jeans, or combat trousers, jeans, and even skirts and dresses.

6. Trench Coat
A trench coat is another absolute essential when shopping for a spring wardrobe, as it acts as a formal layering item you can pair with anything, and it instantly elevates any look.
The trench coat is perfect for heading into the office, as well as to weddings, christenings, as it is a little more luxe looking in comparison to a denim jacket.

7. Lightweight sweatshirt or cardigan
Spring days can be blustery and summer evenings can see the chill set in, so be prepared with a sweatshirt or a crochet jumper, even a crochet cardigan, just in case particularly in the early mornings and evenings.
You can wear over a cami or t-shirt, and then when you feel too hot, simply tie loosely around your neck, or waist, to keep out of the way.

10. Midi dress
