My co-worker found a stray puppy and I brought it home – but now I know it’s not a dog at all
A MAN’s co-worker has discovered an abandoned puppy that turned out to be a wild animal.
In a TikTok video, the man said his co-worker discovered the animal thinking it was a dog, so he took it home to take care of it.
The first shot in the video showed the animal looking like a small puppy.
“It’s a dog? I’m taking it home,” TikTok creator (@dropbackchi) said in the clip.
The next shot showed the animal grown up and appearing very different.
“So, my co-worker was actually wrong, this is not a dog.
“This is my boy, he’s a fox.”
He jokingly added: “Just like his daddy.”
Turns out the dog was indeed a fox.
The man then showed how he and the fox have bonded over time to the point it is comfortable enough to climb up him and go onto his shoulders.
It is not uncommon for wild animals to get mixed up as a pet cat or dog.
Sometimes people enjoy having wild animals as pets, as well.
One couple recently revealed their unusual pet boar, which acts like a dog and even plays ball.
Meanwhile, a dog owner has shared the horror moment her pets brought a bear cub home from the woods with them thinking they had made a new friend.
Another family brought home a kitten to later discover that it was actually a wild animal after it made a weird noise.
A volunteer at a cat shelter rescued a little black kitten and eventually found out the animal wasn’t what it first appeared.
