Man in his 60s dies after he’s hit by ‘stolen’ BMW that crashes into house in Netherton before driver flees on foot
A MAN in his 60s has died after he was hit by a suspected stolen car.
Emergency services rushed to Netherton in Liverpool at 9.05pm last night after reports a dark coloured BMW had crashed into a house.
When Police, ambulance and fire crews arrived at the scene on Morgan Mews they discovered a man in his 60s had also been hit by the car.
This morning cops revealed he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers suspect the car was stolen in a burglary.
The man who was driving the car ran away from the scene on foot.
Detective Inspector Colin Rennison said: “We are in the very early stages of establishing the circumstances of this incident.
:Officers are currently at the scene and house-to-house enquiries are being carried out.
“We will also be checking CCTV and smart doorbell footage from the area in a bid to identify the male who was driving the vehicle.
“We are interested in hearing from anyone who may have seen a dark-coloured BMW being driven in the area before the collision occurred.
“Any information you have, however small you may think it is, could prove to be vital to our enquiries.
