Maps present a distorted view of the world, but it's a lot worse than you think

This thread by Substacker Tomas Pueyo literally blew my mind. It’s exploded. In pieces around my living room. And not because I didn’t know that maps do present a distorted view of reality, but because I didn’t know the extent of that distortion, a distortion with very real consequences.
