TandyBulgarian blueyeah closer to town is fine,dont mind that,cant we do something with the rail line next to ground,.but nec,not a chance.
The line behind GM Stand has a loop round to New Street station.
A "GM Stand" station would be absolutely perfect as a link to New St and beyond.
Just have to convince Railtrack and a Train company to do it... but would it be used by anyone (other than Blues fans on 23 days of the year)?
The line will be active in a couple of years when the new stations in Kings Heath and Moseley open. Massive shortsightedness from the club to not petition for a station on Arthur Street, Emmeline Street or Garrison Lane.
I agree that it seems like an opportunity overlooked but - and I'm no engineer - there ain't loads of room so I wonder how feasible it should be.
But - as I've said before re Bordesley station - somebody needs to start banging Street and Ward's doors down to at least ask these questions - it would be a win for them and for us.
