Mrs Hinch fans come to the rescue of woman who has a fake tan disaster on her plush carpet and it only sets her back £1
CARPETS are so comfortable and often give a space a cosy vibe, but it’s easy to get dirty and very difficult to remove stains from them.
And when one woman couldn’t get a fake tan out of her grey carpet, she panicked.
This led to her posting in the ‘Hinch Army Cleaning Tips’ Facebook group, where she posted a photo of the disaster.
The picture showed her plush grey carpet with brown dots in several areas.
“Fake tan on carpet Help! Tried doctors beckmann and its not coming off,” [sic] she wrote with a crying emoji.
Luckily for her, Mrs Hinch fans came through with a little known hack that they swore would get the job done.
The best part? It’s only £1 and you may already have it lying about in your home.
“Hairpsray x,” wrote one person as another chimed: “Hairspray”.
While a third suggested a specific brand, Insett, as they wrote: “Insett hairspray I got black dye on mine and it works got to be insett one tho cx”. [sic]
Hairspray can be bought for a bargain of £1 from the Poundshop.com, making this an affordable option.
While some also suggested more common methods like Elbow Grease, washing up liquid and The Pink Stuff, some urged people to buy micellar water for this purpose, too.
“Micellar water xx,” one person wrote.
Another said: “Micellar water! Messy tanner here,” with a laughing emoji and a hand up emoji.
A third shared: “I used micellar water to take tan marks off a white dress and it worked like a dream, maybe worth trying??? X”. [sic]
While a fourth added: “Garnier micellar water I use x”.
